EIZO supplies products worldwide from its manufacturing facilities in Japan: EIZO’s headquarters factory in Hakusan, and its group company, EIZO MS Corporation, factories in Hakui and Nanao. These facilities have been using renewable energy for 50% of their electricity consumption since October 2020.

In May 2023, EIZO established its “Transition to Net Zero” sustainability goal, which sets long-term targets for GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions reduction and other efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040. As part of this plan, EIZO had set its target to achieve 100% renewable energy at all manufacturing facilities in Japan by FY2026, but given the increasing urgency for an early transition to a decarbonized society in response to global climate change risks, EIZO has significantly advanced its plans. This is expected to reduce GHG emissions by approximately 1,500t-CO2e.

EIZO has identified “Responding to Climate Change” as one of its materiality issues and is accelerating efforts to reduce GHG emissions to achieve carbon neutrality. In addition, EIZO has joined the Race to Zero* campaign to disclose and work toward clear reduction targets to create a healthier, net zero world. EIZO will continue these and other efforts to achieve its “Transition to Net Zero” goals.

Since June 2020, over 13,000 members have joined the campaign and are committed to the same overarching goal: reducing emissions across all scopes swiftly and fairly in line with the Paris Agreement, with transparent action plans and robust near-term targets.
